Anusara & Ayurveda: the 5 elements & the 5 Principles (time options:
3 hours, one day, weekend)
Delve into the 5
elements (mahabhutus) & the 5 principles of Anusara Yoga to add practical knowledge to your yoga practice and your life
as a yogi off the mat. We´ll explore the elements and principles to uncover which need our special attention to enhance
our experience of health and wellbeing at this juncture. Lecture, meditation, and a little asana.
Intro to Ayurveda
Delve into the orgins of Ayurveda and how the theories of the 5 elements and the 3 doshas arose. We'll
touch on the doshas and our constitutions, and how the doshas cycle through the day. Also, how disease develops according
to Ayurveda, and thus, how to undo the disease process.

Using Spices as Medicine
Ayurvedic cooking involves intelligent use of spices to heal various imbalances.
In this class we investigate the various modes of using spice, in medicines, beverages, and foods to take advantage of their
healing potential.

Foods, herbs, yoga, and rituals to help adjust between the seasons.

for menopause: a self-care workshop for women, menopause &

Kula Cleanse Courses
(time options: weekend, 5-day)
The
kula cleanse courses help students shift as a community to the next level in their practice. Through using a different diet
and meeting daily, a deeper perspective of habitual patterns is more easily transformed for the better. A pre-cleanse teleconference
call will precede the weekend workshop.
Woman's Wisdom Weekend
The
weekend combines exploratory yoga sessions to move deeper into our authentic body with the following lectures:

the journey of woman’s lives
through the lens of the 5 element theory from menarche through menopause
· our
monthly cycles and symptoms of imbalance give information of deeper dis-ease tendencies. Learn how to interpret symptoms and
make appropriate changes
- Ayurveda sees each woman as unique, yet having
tendencies of a particular elemental constitution . We will delve into our individual constitutions and how we have specific
strengths and vulnerabilities, with a focus on how to decrease vulnerabilities (physical, mental, & emotional).
*Ayurveda is the oldest, and most time-tested system of medicine, which uses the following chief healing
modalities: living with the cycles of nature; using foods, spices & herbs as medicine; and attuning our individual constitution
with choices that create balance, enhance health, and increase consciousness
The Yogi and the Spanda (time
options: 3 hours, one day, weekend)
Formerly called Daily Routines of a Yogi, we look at how the 3 doshas move
throughout the day and night, the seasons, moon cycles, and stages of life. By syncing into the doshas, we can go
with the larger flow of energy in our choices of what to do when.
What's my Constitution? (time options: 3 hours, one day)
Delve into ayurvedic
and yogic philosophy of the 3 doshas, or forces of energy, and how they make up your individual constitution. Knowing
your constitution is like having the owner's manual to your vehicle, enabling you to maintain and improve health
and your yoga practice. The doshas out of balance create disease, and by knowing our constitution we can learn how to
prevent the imbalances our ancestors may have suffered.
